Faster Deployment with Flexible Expansion

Kehua Wise PTU Power Train Unit

The PTU solution integrates three standardized shelters: a low-voltage shelter, a medium-voltage shelter and a battery shelter. These independently decoupled units can be combined flexibly according to project requirements. Together, they incorporate medium-voltage ring main units (RMUs), transformer cabinets, low-voltage distribution cabinets, UPS systems, lithium-ion battery cabinets, cooling systems, monitoring systems and fire protection systems.

The shelters are prefabricated, pre-installed and pre-commissioned entirely in the factory. Once delivered to the project site, they only require positioning, direct water and electricity connections, and plug-and-play interfaces for rapid deployment.

Compared with conventional on-site construction, this approach can shorten the delivery cycle from 30 days to seven days and improve delivery efficiency by 76%. The modular design also supports phased investment and flexible expansion, helping avoid overinvestment and reduce upfront capital pressure as computing demand grows.

Higher Power Density with Lower Energy Losses

Drawing on nearly four decades of experience in power electronics, electrical systems and engineering, Kehua has equipped the low-voltage power distribution system with a power module solution that shortens the power supply path and improves power transmission efficiency.

For high-density deployment, the power module can incorporate Kehuas MR33 Series Modular UPS, configured with 1.2 MW of capacity, further reducing the required footprint by 24%. A single shelter can provide megawatt-scale power capacity for high-density applications such as AI computing clusters with 10,000 accelerator cards, without requiring additional space for power distribution equipment.

According to comprehensive calculations, the solution can reduce system PUE by approximately 0.04, keep overall PLF below 0.06 and lower energy losses in the power distribution system by 37.5%. For a 10 MW data center, this can translate into annual electricity cost savings of nearly RMB 1 million.

Reliable Power for Dynamic AI Workloads

AI computing loads can change sharply within milliseconds, placing greater demands on the response capability and overload capacity of power systems. An IDC white paper on AI computing infrastructure notes that the load of a single computing node can rise from 30% to more than 150% within 10 milliseconds, with peak demand lasting up to 30 milliseconds.

To address the rapid, high-overload and frequent load fluctuations associated with AI computing, the solution is designed around a high peak-to-average power ratio. Its overload capability is reinforced through both component selection and circuit architecture, enabling it to support 180% of rated load for 300 milliseconds and helping maintain stable equipment operation.

The medium-voltage power distribution system and the lithium-ion battery energy storage system are also housed in separate compartments, strengthening physical isolation between different electrical subsystems and supporting safer, more reliable operation.

Built for International Delivery

Kehua uses a standardized shelter design suitable for ocean transportation. The shelters provide fire and rain protection and are structurally reinforced for vibration and seismic resistance, helping protect internal electrical equipment during long-distance transportation and under conditions such as substantial temperature changes and coastal salt spray. Combined with the modular architecture, this design also supports flexible system configuration and future capacity expansion.
