The total planned construction area of the Tencent Qingyuan Data Center project is 270,000 square meters, including 8 factory buildings and 1 comprehensive building. The project adopts the T-block scheme, which physically divides the data center into various specific functional modules that can be prefabricated in the factory. All equipment for medium pressure, low pressure, IT, office, air conditioning, and diesel generators are manufactured in containers in the factory according to design standards and then assembled on-site. By constructing the factory buildings in a flat manner and synchronizing the construction of the factory buildings with the prefabrication of various functional modules, the data center construction period is significantly reduced, with a 50% reduction in civil construction period and a 40% reduction in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) delivery period. The data center is managed on a daily basis through the Tencent Smart Maintenance Platform, and in the future, it can develop multidimensional digital twin 3D visualization and intelligent AR maintenance functions. This enables fine statistical analysis and visualization of data room information, provides intelligent maintenance suggestions, guides maintenance personnel, and helps achieve goals such as low-carbon energy efficiency. The data center has an average annual design PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) of less than 1.25 and is at the forefront in the relatively high-temperature South China region.
