Determine UPS type required:
      According to the requirements of load for output stability, switching time, output waveform, determine the choice among the UPS products of online type, online interactive type, backup type, sine wave or square wave, etc.
       Output stability and transient response capability of online UPS are better than the other two types, and are better in adaptability to non-linear load and inductive load. For some relatively precise or crucial equipment, online UPS should be used. In regions where commercial power fluctuation range is relatively large, avoid using interactive type and backup type. In the case of using generator with short-time-delay UPS, online UPS is recommended.
Determine required battery back-up time
       Make determination according to the needed equipment working time after power-failure. Cost of long-time-delay type battery may exceed that of UPS main unit. There are relatively more counterfeits due to the high cost of battery. Therefore, selection of suppliers of good reputation is essential to the reliability of UPS system.
Additional function:
       In order to enhance system reliability, adoption of UPS hot back-up system is recommended, and series connection hot back-up or parallel connection hot back-up are also recommended. Also, redundant switch can be used for low capacity UPS(1~2KVA). Remote monitoring panel is optional. It is used for realizing remote monitoring and control over UPS. Remote monitoring software is optional. It is used for realizing computer's intellectualized management on UPS. Also, network adaptor is available. It is used for realizing UPS networking management (based on SNMP) In regions with abundant rain and thunder, lightning protection unit is available for your choice.
After-sale service:
        As UPS is relatively weighty, and high capacity models are relatively complex in wiring, door-to-door service is required. Therefore, choose those suppliers with better aftersale service. Conduct survey on the suppliers from the aspects of reputation, technical capability, service organization, maintenance spare parts, etc.
